Default new project I'm thinking about

as I sit here at work staring at excel sheets and such, i got to wondering "what if"

I think a 5 shot, 3in round butt k frame in .45acp would be a really nice carry piece.

I guess my question would be logistics, the barrel could be rebored but what would I do for a cylinder?

could I use the new model 69 cylinder ( even though its an L frame) and just open it up?

and then you would have the issue of moon clips, but i have everything to load for 45AR so I could get around that if need be

Within reason, virtually anything can be built...at a price. Sometimes, a very big price.

I think you're right and your closest bet would be to use the new Model 69 as a base gun. Otherwise you're talking about fabrication -- serious dollars.

Not going to work in a K frame. There's just not enough metal there to:
1) bore the barrel.
or
2) fit a bigger barrel.
or
3) fit an L-frame cylinder.

As much as I hate to advise this, you will be better off finding a Taurus Tracker in .45 ACP:

There was a shop that used to convert K-frame to shoot .44Spl. so it might could be done, but probably with a really high price tag.

I'd think a 69 would be your best bet.
