Default Recommendations for replacement carry front sight for model 10.

I've been looking at replacing the front sight on my 2" model 10-9 and was wondering if ya'll could recommend a better front sight than the stock one.

Also who would be a good smith to send this to? I've heard Mag-na-port and Cylinder and Slide do great work like this.

Leaning towards XS standard dot NS. (I've used XS big dots on several different hand guns and like them.)

I'm open to suggestions and don't mind advise, photos, opinions or warnings even if it's about other revolvers.

Thanks!

XS standard NS or a gold bead. If you want to save a little cash, a front sight insert is good enough (but the former two are excellent).

Personally, I would not modify a discontinued model in that fashion. Glow in the dark model paint on the ramp works just fine. Yes, it will come off IF you hit it with solvent, but one tiny jar of the stuff will last you the rest of your life.
