SW 581- adjustable Fr. Sight?
Can I get adjustable front site for a nice 581 I picked up. Was just reading about adjustable sites on a 686. Am I delusional about this subject? Lol. Or do I just have to be happy I got a nice fixed site revolver

Even if you fitted one it would be way too tall, and I don't think it could be modified (shortened) to make it work. The front sight on a M581 is much lower than the front sight on a M586.

Both the 581 and 681 below have dovetail front sights adjustable for windage. Sights are Novak tritium.

Don't worry, be happy .
if you mean an adjustable 'rear' sight, it would be easier to find a 4" model 586, the same gun as your 581 with the sight you want. Certain 586s came with both a elevation/windage adjustable rear and a four-position elevation only adjustable front sight, the Silhouette version, but that front would need the taller rear sight to match as others mentioned.

Thanks for the info. I just found this seet581, so I bought it. I'll just be happy with what I have. I have a 686, but I really like blued revolvers.

I assumed the OP was asking about the adjustable front silhouette sight.
