Default "Non Clorinated" brake cleaner

I have an airweight 638-3 and a SS 649-3. Is it safe to use on either or both to clean the internals, then re lube as needed.

I DO NOT want to chance damaging the finishes on either. I would like to "start" from scratch and make sure they are free of any debris or filings.

Regards,
Chuck

SS is good to go. Not sure about the airweight.
