Awesome day!
Today was supposed to make it into the mid 30's so I had planned on shooting. After I moved all of last night's snow, I headed out back. I think the last good day we had was early in January. The day I brought this new plinker home. I put a few box's through it then and the cold moved in. I couldn't get to my target butts then so I stuck a half sheet of plywood in the snow. I'm not sure where that plywood is now, I'll probably find it this spring. Today I just shot sticks planted in the snow at random distances. Well actually, only has far as I felt like wading through the snow. Its amazing how a grown man can have so much fun with a good 22 and a couple handfuls of ammo. Its been a long cold winter and I was thinking you might enjoy hearing about my break from cabin fever.

Sounds like a good day Chris. I'm still jealous of your back yard...just not where it's at.

The sun is out. It is 36 degrees. I was out shoveling with no coat on. It is so nice out I might get the lounge chair and hit the deck. First time above freezing all month. Man I wish the outdoor range was open at my club. You must feel like a million bucks. Wish I was there.

Winter is revolver season!
No chasing/digging through snow for your brass. I used to shoot my revolvers so much more during the winter...

Till I came down with the flu last month. Can't stand the cold now. Come on Spring!!

OP, I'm pleased you could get out and shoot in This-Winter-With-No-End.
Wish I could.

Man its been a tough winter, the deer must be having a bad time. I was up on the roof of the shed yesterday, it was drifted in armpit deep. Today was beautiful, sun made it feel much nicer then its been. I haven't been out on the webb's since we got the dogs, I can't leave'em home and I can't stay up rite when I bring them. This was a nice little break. I hope you guys enjoyed it, this week is looking a little chilly.
Talk to you later,
Chris

Cloudy and about to rain here in Southern California. Spent the afternoon watching movies and cleaning guns. ;-)

The wife and I were just discussing how hard a time the deer must be having this winter. Today sure was a treat though! It hit 40 here and it was actually pretty decent out while I was removing last nights snow.
Now if this weather would just break I'd be a happy camper. I've officially run out of places to put snow, next storm I will have to start filling in a circle I have at the end of my driveway.

Thanks for the picture, looks like fun to me.I haven't been to the range since I got injured last deer season and I spent my Sunday doing my taxes.
We got pounded with snow and spring flooding last year but the snow went to the East this year. I feel your pain out in the NE.

Plinking sticks in the snow with a .22 , now that's the best kinda target shooting in my book , and being able to do it in your backyard. Yep , I'm a bit jealous .
