S&W 357 Magnum SS 6 Shot
I just acquired the above with fixed sights and am looking for more information. Serial # AAK14XX.
Frame is marked Mod 681. All SS including the trigger. I notice that not all SS Models have the SS trigger.
Shipping date and any other information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Your looking at late 1982. The trigger and hammer are not stainless, they are flash chromed. Most hammers and triggers are case hardened.

Thanks for all of the information that you provided. The grips have been replaced from the wood ones, but not sure which grips I have. I am still checking to see what I can find out. Was this a police issue or general purpose fire arm? Thanks

Is it a 4 or 6". One of the guns I would like to have and dont. Do you have a picture of it. How did you come about owning it. There was a recall for a "maybe problem". Does it have the M stamp by the serial number. I just sold a 586 no dash with no M mark. Not to worry... just so you know. Lot of info on this sight regarding the M fix. Is there any other marking on it. Cheers Theo
