625-3 prices
Found a 625-3 45acp at LGS today. "model of 1989" on side of barrel. No box/paperwork, has 8-10 moonclips. Stainless, 4" barrel. Estimate it at 95%+. $650. Good price?

I just bought a 625-2 model of 1988 from a man on a different forum. It is lnib & came with some beautiful factory rb combats. I got it shipped for $1050. The combats are perfect with as good a grain as I have seen.

It is beyond a "good" price. It is an excellent price and you are very lucky to have stumbled upon it. You should run back there and hope it is still there. If there are any S&W revolver guys around your area, it will be gone in a flash.

That's a steal. I've never even seen a 4" -3. Most are 5".
As you know, but in case some readers don't, measurement is from tip of muzzle all the way to the end of the forcing cone. A 5" 625 will measure 4" from muzzle to frame, and 5" to end of forcing cone.

There are also 625-3s with 3" barrels when measured correctly. One of them is in my safe.

Well, since you bring it up, this thread does need a placeholder photo until OP can show us his 4" once he gets it out of jail.

Picked my 4" up for $200 back in 2001, I've put a lot of rounds thru it. It will make a bowling pin dance all the way down the range, awesome shooter
