Couple of N Frame snubbies!
I love the snubbies, and especially appreciate the N Frames.

I had a model 29 (5" or 6"? I cannot remember)from which I frequently fired full house .44 magnum loads with no difficulty. The gun would rise substantially and follow up rounds were slow back on target, but I had no issue with recoil.
I then traded it in on a limited edition snubbie in stainless steel (about 1980). With the same ammo, instead of my arm rising with each shot the short barrel caused my wrist to turn up with each shot. The beautiful wood grip bruised the bone on the base of my thumb and I could not shoot for almost 6 months after.
The "collectible" limited edition then became a regular production item and was no longer collectible. I sold it shortly afterwards.
But people wanting a snubbie should be aware that not only is the recoil going to be greater the gun will torque in your hands to a far greater extent.

Good looking pics... What is it that rouses the mind to hit the range when you see a couple of good looking Smith's?
My favorite...the snubbie long range challenge is a lot of fun.
My first purchase many moons ago..Model 19 snubbie and I have enjoyed many hours together.
A gun show find a couple years ago... custom 29-2 Magnaport 2.5" Combat Magnum...lots of fun. Really smooth action, well balanced, and a noticeable, relaxed recoil over a six inch 29. I have a blast with it...pun intended.

Very nice! I really like the 657, don't know why but a snub .41 just seem's right for a N-frame.

Very nice! I especially like that 657. A good friend of mine hunts white tails with his 657. The 41mag. Makes an excellent deer round to hunt with.

The .41 mag is a very underrated cartridge, unless you're a reloader. It does it all. You better be holding on when it's coming out a 3" barrel!

Yes the recoil with 240 grain magnum loads is VERY sharp, and torquey. I don't shoot the 29 a whole lot, because of this. It tends to be a little painful with the wood Combats.
Haven't shot the 657 yet. I am willing though!

I can't say I'm a snubbie fan but I do like 3" barrelled revolvers. The N-frame with the 3" bull barrel really looks great.

I'm not a snubbing fan but a short barrel on that big N Frame must look out of place? My m58/4" looks too short.

I love my 3 inch 29 but it certainly will get your attention. I most often shoot specials in it.

I have a couple of the three inch model 29s.
They are a lot easier on you than my 329 PD is.
