Scopes??
I'm in the process of buying a S&W 460XVR and was wondering what an affordable scope would be for it?

With the recoil of that gun you will not be able to get away cheap. I would suggest either a Leupold or Burris. Both have excellent warranties and customer service.

I have had zero issues with the Leupold 2-8 handgun scope on mine.

Leupold has a well earned reputation for surviving the recoil of these large magnum caliber guns. You can find used 2x extended eye relief Leupolds for under $200 on online auction sites. A used Leupold is a safe risk because their warranty support is so fantastic. It's almost impossible to get stuck with a lemon.
