Default 64-8: good price?

Just left my LGS after seeing a 64-8 3" heavy barrel under glass. Ser. # CHT169x.
It comes with its box, & the tagged price is $419.95.
(I took a picture, with my phone, under glass. So it's really not worth posting, I don't believe.)
The stainless steel appears to be in good shape, without examining by hand.
I couldn't see the cylinder release side. Would this model have an internal lock?
Does this sound like a good price?
Thanks much,
Lamar

This is all good, guys - thanks!
cib911 that's a sharp one. Nice grips. I see the IL. Any problems?
Pete I like the way you think, just not on top 'o the barrel, right? Too blinding!
Rusty great idea except I'm a lefty. Ever seen a left handed holster in a LGS, much less a bin? :0)

Seven years ago, I bought a never-issued, ANIB, security guard trade-in 4" 64-8 for $315 otd locally and I felt I got a deal. It was the current model for years and had such evil parts as MIM hammer & trigger, IL, and even a two-piece barrel. If you believe some folks, it's a wonder it even works with all of those 'bad' parts (TIC). I shot the stew out of it that first year, before returning it's rubber grips to it and leaving it as my nightstand gun. It still goes to the range anytime we take someone new to shooting - and they always love it's ease of use and accuracy - and most want me to sell it to them! Mine is a keeper - at $420, so is your's!

Those are likely the same grips that came on the 3" 64-8, although my new 2" 10-11 came with the rounded heel version.

Those are Eagle grips, they were on it when I bought it. I've never had a problem with the IL on any of my revolvers, although I don't care for them.
