Just bought a Model 19-4 that was wearing Target Stocks
Good Evening All,
I Just bought a Model 19-4 that was wearing Target Stocks. I was hoping some one could ID the maker. I wasn't even in the market for this 19 snub, but it was just too nice to pass up, it had everything.......box, all the paper work, rod, mop, and SAT. In the box were the factory Magna's too.
The target stock's were on the gun when I bought it, they are SQ butt stocks.....my 617-1 is modeling them in the pic's.
Any idea who made these stocks and the value of them? Thanks

They look like Herrett (sp) shooting star grips. I have no clue on price.

19, looks like a beauty to me! Would love to have a 2" K frame! (Someday) Target (thumb rest ) grips are pretty ugly in most cases. I have a set of N square butt with no checkering. BUT, these fit so well in my hand. Value, is whatever someone will give you. Usually they sell reasonably on ebay. You could look there for value ideas. Enjoy your 19! Bob

Thanks to all who responded......The stocks have no maker marks,
I googled SILE and the pic's they show have style's that look like my stocks shown above. I would say SILE is the manufacturer.....value 40 to 50 bucks. I was hoping to have some rare ROPER prototype stocks....At least I got a nice gun.
Thanks again...shoot safe
