Default No 500 stamp

Hello guys I'm new to this forum, and I just got a couple questions on my mind. Anyway I purchased a new s&w 500 the 163501 version about a week ago and as I was looking through the net at other peoples 500's I noticed that their 500 had well a 500 stamp on it, mines doesn't appear to have one it has an SW stamp on one side but the other is blank. My questions are, Does anybody else have a blank side? Did s&w stop stamping 500 after awhile? Can I get it fixed or should I not worry about it? The gun is still a bad mofo nontheless!

Interesting question. Both my original style 8 3/8th" and 6.5" PC model are stamped 500 S&W Mag. Don

By law the chambering has to be engraved, cast, or stamped on the frame or barrel. Ordinarily, S&W marks the barrel. Is the chambering marked on your gun anywhere?

It does have on one side of the barrel " 500 S&W Magnum" and the other side "Smith & Wesson" but It doesn't have the 500 logo as others do In the space between the grip and cylinder

My original has a stylistic 500 logo on the left side of the frame, the PC does not. Don
