Smith Wesson mod 29 snub 3" new Unfired in box
I haven't seen this model 29 in a 3" before and thought it was a beauty. It's in original box and Unfired. I wasn't sure how many were made? Thanks . Paul

I don't know how many were produced. Not many, as I have never seen one up close. That certainly is a treasure!

In 1985, S&W made a run of 200 "44 Combat Magnums" with a 3-inch barrel for Lew Horton. Yours may be one of these.

jackvs1...If it is a Lew Horton 44, it is a Model 29-3.

I am glad you have it. If I had run onto it I would have had to shoot it. Character defect I suppose.

I buy guns to shoot...that revolver would get both wear from shooting and holster carry!

There were also 29-3's that went out from regular distributors also. The only way to know if it is a LH, it to call or email them and ask.

As I doubt I'll ever find a Jovino custom in .45acp one of those 3" 29-3s is on my short list. I wish prices were still what they were when the SCSW was published.
You have more will power than I. I have to shoot the guns I own, congratulations on such a fine acquisition.
