Approx. value of 25-13 Mountain Gun
Got a friend wanting to trade me a 25-13 Mountain gun in 45 Colt. I tried to find the value for this gun but found very little information. It is in the original box and has what appears to be Ahrends Plain grips on on it which he says are original. The gun is in excellent condition and he said he only fired it about 25-30 rounds. Any ideas on value.
Thanks

Sounds like a gun I would like to own. I looked on G.B. as you probably did with no luck dollar wise. I have a 25-15 (which is not the same thing) that I got at the gun show in April for $750. Excellent, papers etc. It is the classic (I believe) with 6.5" barrel. I enjoy shooting it, but not as much as my 625JM. You did not mention what the trade was. Bob

I have a couple of guns he wants and he is trying to come up with enough trade material to get them but We can't come to a value for this gun.. Is $900.00 to much? That's a number he threw at me.

I picked up a Mountain Gun in .45 Colt, but it was a 625-7 variant (MIM hammer/trigger, frame mounted FP, no IL). It was in great shape, and it set me back $725. I do not believe Ahrends stocks are factory offerings for that revolver.

I don't know what percentage of the 25-13's came with Ahrends but quit a few did, like mine which came with factory Ahrends Cocobolo finger-grooved grips.
