Default 327 loose shroud

I have about 100 rounds through my new 327 2" and just noticed the shroud and retaining nut are loose. I guess I have to send it in. Disappointing.

You are correct! There are two styles of barrels S&W uses, a 2-piece and a 3-piece. Yours is a 3-piece with the nut. Both types require a special tool which is not available to gunsmiths, only the factory.
