just got my model 60 pro back from S&W
I sent my 60 pro off 6 weeks ago because the hammer pivot pin broke. Yesterday I got it back, they originally told me it coudnt be fixed. But thankfully they did fix it. They ended up drilling thru the frame with the new pin. you have to look close to see the pin under the cylinder release. looks like they re bead blasted that side of the frame.
Very happy with S&W service!!

Pleased they took care of you but I'm not surprised that they did good work. The one time I used their warranty service they did what I asked and much more.
I think the number of cases where S&W satisfies the customer are vastly higher than the dissatisfied ones. Then figure in those who are virtually impossible to please and the percentages go up again. Don

I wonder if they could fill in the lock hole like that? I've seriously often wondered if the lock hole could be tapped and a shallow screw inserted, and then blended in. Glad your gun came back fixed!

I would think a Smith could Silver solder a short length of stainless rod in the hole. Grind and polish to match.
As the British say, "Bob is your Uncle"!
Best,

There is a gentleman on this forum that makes a plug for the lock hole.
