Date of shipping for a Model 65-3 .....
Hello,
I am new to the forum and happy to be here. I just acquired a Model 65-3 .357 Magnum, Original Grips, Stainless (which I know is standard for this model) that has a serial number AHW1xxx. Can you please tell me what year this is from?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum, you will learn a lot here. Congratulations on acquiring your Md 65-3. I like the Md 65 because it has fixed sights for which I am partial. Someday, I'd like to find on for myself. It would be a nice complement to my Md 64. We'd love to see some pics of yours.

I agree with loeman, the 65 is probably my all time favorite, also love the fixed sights.

I will try to get a couple pics of it on this evening sometime. I just finished giving it a thorough cleaning and once over last night. I have also managed to find an original manual for it. I am waiting for that to arrive in the mail.

My 65-3 #ACS48xx shipped 1983 to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The original magna grips were very worn, but it wasn't shot much. Beautiful trigger and extremely accurate. I'll wager yours is the same. I found these replacement finger groove targets that fit my hand perfectly and wish I could find similar for some others.

Peak53 - Nice!!
I have one grip that is worn a bit but not bad ..... patina
If i DO decide to get new grips, i will stay with a very similar look. Mine doesn't appear to have been shot much either. It was a hit at our office show and tell yesterday for sure.
It's nice to work in a place that is Pro 2nd.
