I have one. Great daily carry in my opinion, it's what I use it for. What would you like to know?

The Model 60 Pro has been out for many years now. Mine is already eight years old.

The grip design is very comfortable. Good sights, very accurate. I think it makes a great little holstered kit gun.

While the front sight is tritium, the blade is so thin that the small vial size required to fit makes the dot appear very dim. Most folks will not be able to make use of it unless they have good low light vision to start with

It's a lot of gun in a small package. As expected, I can shoot it better than a 2 inch J, but I can shoot 3 inch K or L frames better. I never seem to want to shoot more than a cylinder full of full house 357 magnums but it shoots any lighter load just fine.

I thought I wanted one, but did not know it had adjustable sights. I am used to fixed sights such as the original model 60, or my model 637. Nice looking revolver though. Maybe i should also look for a model 65 3".

I have a regular 3" Model 60-15. The 3" barrel and the taller adjustable sights make it a great kit gun. The Pro Model would seem to fit the bill as well.

I have both the Pro & 60-15. Love them both, the 60-15 is my trail/kit gun. Balances a little bit forward for me, I'm better rapid fire with the 60-15, but wouldn't hesitate to carry the Pro. It's just too pretty to bang around.

And as you can see, I like the Pro grips !

I have seen them chambered in both .38Spl and in .357M.

I have one on my hip now, I have had it for 3 years now and have put approx. 3000 rounds thru it. half 38 and the other 357. I really like mine. the trigger on mine is great too. I did have the hammer pivit pin break earlier this year but smith and Wesson repaired that for me.
I really wish they would make a 3in model 60 with fixed sights, just saying.

I'm not following your logic.

All the way back into the 1950s steel J-frames had fixed sights, long before they were beefed up to accept .357s. And even then, before there were model numbers, S&W offered a limited number of J-frame .38 Specials with target sights.

The base M60 is a fixed sight, 23 ounce, steel frame .357 Magnum that will kick the **** out of your hand with full power loads, but feel quite comfortable with .38 Spl loads during range practice. It has FIXED sights because it is basically a steel J-frame rated to handle the .357 Magnum.

The "PRO" is where they started with something already built for concealed carry combat, and goobed it up with "snaggalicious" adjustable sights and a funky barrel "redux" just to grab "that" side of the pool - whatEVER that side is.

If you want a compact .357 Mag in an all steel 23 ounce J-frame, the M-60 is top shelf in every way, but avoid the "custom" shop treatments if you want the real (carry) deal.
As I've learned over the years, when you hear a "bean counter" ask, "Don't you think we should...?", OR "Wouldn't it be good if...?", run, don't walk to the exit.

My LGS has had one of these in the showcase forever, while the Glocks and such fly out the door. I've been trying to find a reason to buy it, but have yet to be successful. My M60 LadySmith seems to cover the same bases.

I purchased a model 60-15 pro a couple weeks ago. I love it! I have not carried it yet because I do not have a holster. It is very accurate and I shoot you it better at 25 yards then I do my glock 17. I've only put 350 rounds of 38 spl reloads through it so far. I love the look of the stock grips but changed them out in favor of the hogue monogrips. I like the hogue grips but they did change the thickness of the grips and I noticed I had to adjust during shooting.

Btw, what's a kit gun?

OK, so what's the consensus? Which is better, the Pro model or the standard Model 60? FYI I for one like adjustable sights, but not that big of a deal either way.

Do all model 60's in 357 have underlug barrel? I feel the Pro would be better with fixed sights!

I prefer the adjustable sights on my model 60-15 because it is used as a field gun first and a ccw gun second. Due to the adjustable sights, I can precisely sight this sweet little gun gun in at 50 yards with my preferred load (125 grain Golden Saber magnums) and be ready for any game or predator on my rural property, while also having the near perfect personal protection piece on other travels. With a couple clicks of the rear sight I can adjust the sight for light .38 loads and bag a few bunnies or squirrels. No fixed sights on any 3" + revolvers for me. I like precision. No holding over, under, or Kentucky windage in my world.

I consider my 60-15 the perfect woods/kit gun. It shares this role with my 34, 63, and 51. All with adjustable sights, of course.

I like the 60 Pro a lot and think it's (for my body style) a perfect belt carry side arm. Holsters options are a bit limited. To be honest I don't really carry it much but use it as a trainer for my 642. Same frame and trigger pull, and it gives me the chance to throw out a lot more 38Spl +P loads without discomfort. Can't say that I've ever put any 357's through it though.

Very accurate though and is no slouch at 25yds or further.

I generally prefer adjustable sights on a CC gun. Maybe not for pocket carry, but I prefer them on a holster gun.

I enjoy mine. Still not convinced the sights are right but great fun proving they are true or not.

I really like mine, so much so I bought a 686SSR because it looked like the M60s bigger brother. They are the two best shooting handguns that I have, excepting my M629X6.5", which is amazing. Don't carry the 629 though.

I forgot to say that I put red sight paint on the 60 Pro (around the light pipe) and I shoot it better with that change.
