Default Yet another N-frame snubbie

I did it again. This time it is a 629-6 3". I was cruising the LGS and I heard is calling to me from the used-consignment case. The thing seems to be in excellent shape, timed correctly on all six bores and a good crane to frame fit. Smooth trigger and semi-target hammer. Reasonable price. (I still can't figure out why people take guns in to sell without at least bore cleaning them.) No box or papers but did come with a nice little soft zipper case from S&W. So, in ten days it will go home with me. I don't
NEED another N-frame snubbie, but what does need have to do with it anyway?

Me neither but I REALLY don't understand why the gunshop doesn't clean it before putting it in the case for sale.

Congratulation on your new find!

I assume it's the 3" Deluxe TALO model with the rounded fish scale grips? I was looking for one a while back & the LGS finally got one in stock but I've since bought a 329NG so I don't need it too... but I'm still trying to resist it. Need?

I never have, but I understand why some would, hides defects or they know they are going to get raked over the coals in what they get and simply don't care. I actually think me putting the spiff on them has helped me.
But that's just me and I never knowingly sell junk.

When I sell it's only to help fiance a new gun not to pay the rent. But I could not live with myself unloading a problem on someone else because the big box I trade with doesn't probably care either and will still sell it. And I go that route (and lose money) because it's quick and convenient without the drama.

Thankfully (and hopefully) I'm done, 8 guns alone in the last 17 months, it's getting old. (and expensive) But I do believe I found my ultimate keeper.

BIG Hoss..

No rounded fish scale grip on this one. The grip is smooth hardwood, and significantly longer and more pointy than normal, but not scaled. It is also very light in color, the fish scale TALO grips I have seen are all fairly dark.
