New to me 627PC
I picked this up last week and ran two boxes of thirty eights and two boxes of three fifty sevens flawlessly. The gun is certainly more accurate than I am! I tried the two sets of grips that came with it, but roundbutt grips feel too short for me so I put on a set of Altamonts. They look grea, but I'm not sure I like them either.
I gave the gun a good cleaning and check over before firing, and was surprised_dismayed to find the strain screw lose! A good turn and a half! Everyone needs to check these things out before starting yet another FTF thread!

Looking good.
I really like my 627-5 pro. I installed VZ grips and I did back out the tension screw a bit for a better felt trigger. I have had no MF from loosening the screw either. I really like shooting this revolver, probably because it improves shooting accuracy so much.
I bet you are really going to like it more and more.

I picked up the same model last month, and share the sentiment. On a side note, how do you like those 5 star speedloaders? They are on my short list to purchase, but would like some feedback before dropping the coin

I love mine as well - it's got a little something to help with ageing eyes...

I bought one of these new in May 2015. The bench rested accuracy was excellent but with either factory grip, I couldn't shoot it off-hand as well as my K and L frame guns. So the gun sat mostly unused until three months ago. I was considering selling it. Then I tried the factory rubber grips from my late production 629. These cover the backstrap and allow a nice high hold. WOWZA, that did it for me, the right grip transformed this 627 into my favorite revolver now!

With the 500 grips, the 627 is one of my faves.
Great score !!

The 5 Star Firearms sped loaders are very well made. But pricey. They snugly fit with the Altamont grips.
