I have a S&W 625 45 colt that has a 6" barrel with a factory power port. It's is in VG condition.
What is a gun like this worth?

Thanks

The dash number and a photo would help. Original grips, box & paperwork? Factory letter?

Knowing these would better help in determining a value, as the many variables push the price up or down.

Sounds like a nice gun.

625-7, no safety lock

Non original grips
Grips are wood, round to square, checkered, with finger grooves of unknown manufacturer
Yes I have factory plastic box and manual
I am second owner, I know the first owner and he said he shot it less than 200 rounds. I have shot it a similar number of rounds, all lead bullet light loads
I have mounted a silver Leupold 4X on it with Leupold base/rings and I have the rear sight.

It sounds like you are describing produce code 100933. That SKU should be on end label of the factory box.

Just over 300 of those were produced in 1999/2000 for Lew Horton Distributors. The date of manufacture is also printed on the end label. It is under the heading of "SPEC ORD"

There is no need to look up the engineering revision (dash number) It does not add to your firearm since it was a very short run and only manufactured as a -7.

If you supply that 4 digit number under "SPEC ORD" we can give you a date of manufacture instead of a guess.

To many 45 Colt shooters this is a desirable configuration and tends to do well on the auction sites.

Obviously the value changes depending on if you are selling it with or without the scope. Hopefully you kept the factory original rear sight with the revolver

9096 spec ord
Yes I saved the rear sight
I said 6" barrel, actually the box says 6.5"

06---A shooter friend occasionally brings his to our Silhouette Match...
The thing shoots like a rifle..lf you hand load l might suggest Speer SWC bullets

Yes 06, like that. They made the PowerPorts in 629-44s. 657-41s. 686, 642 also

Probably worth between $900-$1000 on the big auction site.
