Default Model 629 .44 magnum grip conversion to X Frame grips

I have a model 629 .44 magnum 5" inch barrel classic. I want to change the grips to X frame grips. 500/460. I researched this topic and noticed that they are interchangeable, but did not find any information how to convert the screw from side position on the N frame 629 to the bottom screw position to accommodate the X frame grip ?

I have the part number for X frame grips.

Any help would be much appreciated

When you buy the grip, it comes with the hardware to install from the bottom. You just won't use the stock grip or screw.

There is a "stirrup" that comes with the grip. It attaches to the pin in the bottom of the grip frame. The stirrup has a threaded nut in it that the screw interfaces with to hold the grip on. It is pretty easy to install and there are no modifications to the revolver.

Thanks for the help! I hope this helps with the recoil. My 460/ 5 inch has a lot less recoil. Is this the correct part number for the grips with hardware 294670000?
