Call S&W.
I bet it's not very expensive, and I wouldn't be surprised it they sent it for free.

Thanks!

Just found my way back to this tread.

The thought crossed my mind, I just keep forgetting about it. I may even see how much they would rack me to send it off to their performance center.

Default APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE IF THIS SOUNDS IGNORANT.

What's the difference in a "tactical" firing pin VS a NON tactical firing pin? Not trying to be smart, just curious. Pics of the 2 would be great. EDIT: never mind, I noticed the detail link AFTER hitting submit. OOPS! How does the difference feel? For 15$??? BUT if it aint broke, & have no (real) complaints with the 640 ND??? YES the trigger pull is kinda heavy, but that's what practice is for, RIGHT? & In a S/D situation at arms length, I doubt I'll be thinking of the trigger pull wt.

My 686 PC still had the stock springs, but despite one of the heaviest triggers I've yet experienced, it failed to ignite 2-3 rounds per cylinder. The Apex XP fixed it, and I installed a Wilson spring kit to get the DA trigger down to a reasonable level.

As far as trigger pull in a defensive situation, sure adrenaline will make the trigger weight the least of your worries, but the fact remains that it is easier to be accurate with a lighter DA trigger. If I'm fighting for my life with a 5-7 shot revolver, accuracy matters.

The company is called "Apex Tactical". The firing pin itself is extended or allows more travel during the strike.
