My Newest: A 617-6
I called my local gun dealer on Monday a little after 5:00 P.M. and asked him to find me a 4" 17-6. He called me back at 5:30 or thereabout and told me he had found one in Georgia and quoted me the price; I said go. I picked it up today (Wednesday) after I got off work.

Oops! When I originally posted this, I titled it as a 17-6. I apologize to everyone for inadvertently dropping the six! I just wasn't paying close enough attention.

You do know that the pictured revolver is NOT a Model 17-6, don't you?
It's a Model 617 of some very recent vintage.

Not a 17-6 but a very nice 617 nevertheless.
Congratulations, sir. I made my first shots on one exactly like that (range rental) and would certainly love to own one someday.
Enjoy it in good health.
