Default What year model 36?
My brother has a model 36 snubby. I believe it is nickle or stainless. Hot has been in a drawer or safe almoat its entire life and probably has less than 250 roinds shot through it. So it is very mint. I doubt it has the original box.

The serial # is ABU39---

Could someone tell me when it was manufactured and an approximate value? My guess is early 1980's.

He is not planning to sell it, but he is interested and for insurance purposes.

I have a ABW and it's a 1983 gun. Our guns were probably made the same month (maybe week).

My Mod. 36 with ACHxxxx serial number was dated by S&W as late-1983 manufacture.....great handgun!

Also did they make the model 36 in stainless or is it nickle?

What is the approximate value of it?
