RARE LGS FIND OR MEH.....637-2
Hello everyone, I was milling around my local gun shop today and took a look at a 637-2 v-comp. I usually don't go for anything but N Frames but this one caught my eye because I have never seen one. The gun is black in color, power ported with a white dot sight. It's in flawless condition with box and is wearing the older style grips. It's under 400 so I'm wondering if it's a good buy?? I really want a 640 pro series so is it worth buying and offering as trade bait? Talk to me forum friends!!

Are you sure it's a 637? I've never seen a black one. Mine is a aluminium frame, which is silver, along with a stainless barrel and cylinder. I guess someone might have anodized and ported it.

I'm not familiar with that variation, but I'm intrigued. I hope you post photos, regardless of whether you buy it.

If it's the gun I think it is, $400 would be a decent price. I believe it is the gun I have as well.

More info.... it's called a power port. It's a factory model so if you search 637-2 power port it comes right up.

Thank you prescobd, I'm still mulling it over. If it's a collectible I can trade towards my 640 pro I'll get it. If not I'll probably leave it behind and just keep saving up!

It's probably a product code 170327. Those were blackened and had the PowerPort. Plus it's a Performance Center gun, so that adds value. Ive seen a few that were made in the 2008 - 2009 timeframe.
