Is Lipsey's bringing back the S&W 632?
I see it on the Lipsey's website right next to the Ruger Single Seven Shopkeeper model.
The 632 is listed as a 3" barrel model.
Maybe they got rid of the silly port !
Regards
Russ

I'd like to see one just like the 3-inch Model 60-15 Pro Series 178013.

Interesting, I'd be more exited if, they reintroduced the no lock 632 Pro Series with the 2" barrel. But, I might be willing to spring for a 3".

Russ, can you provide a link to where you're seeing that on Lipsey's website, please?
I LOVE Lipsey's and Davidson - if it weren't for them, I wouldn't own half the guns I have now.

I'm working on a phone so it's not as simple --
Lipseys.com/itemfinder.aspx?caliber=327+Federal+Magnum
Try that
It seems to work.

Thanks, Russ.
It has "AS" in the product description - anyone know what that would mean?
Edit: Duh, it means "adjustable sights".
If we go by the S&W product number, it's the one with the port at the end of the barrel. Boooo.......

I looked, and it is listed but no picture. There is the statement it is in the catalog, but not guaranteed to be in stock. Is listed as a 327, SS, 3", 6Rd, "AS". Does anyone know what the "AS" stands for? MSRP was $979, pretty pricey for a J Frame.

This time I will buy one and take it to my gunsmith and have him shorten the barrel in order to get rid of the power port!!

Blasphemy!
If you think that you have too many guns you are enabling many spouses that are certain their husbands have too many.

The model number listed on Lipseys is the same as the old 3" stainless 632 Carry Comp. The msrp seems a bit high though. It's a few hundred more than the 60 Pro and about a hundred more than the 640 Pro. It's almost as much as the 340PD and 360PD...

If the product codes are identical then the guns will be identical. Even with the passage of years or decades. Perhaps the grips might be different but that's about it.

I had one with the shorter barrel, in .32 H&R Mag. It was a handful.
The 3" barrel seems a bit longish for snubbie fans but I think it would allow the gun to get a lot more out of the ballistics of the .327 Fed Mag (maybe up to another 75 - 100 fps).
There are a lot of articles, now aged a bit but still hanging around the internet, that touted the .327 Fed Mag as "almost as powerful as the .357 Mag." Maybe, but the key would be getting the velocity up there.
But six rounds in a small revolver is more attractive than five.
Attached is an old photo of that SKU from Impact Guns. Why oh why the IL? Enough said on that topic.

I'd buy a 6 shot, 2", J frame .327 (or .32 H&R!) in a second if they release them again. I'd have one already if the aftermarket prices weren't absurd.

I have a 2000 Model 642 (no dash). I liked the idea of a six round J-Frame but the S&W 632 has been too pricey for me. But I had a jones for six rounds of 327 Federal Magnum for pocket carry.
So I lost to impatience and got this

Ruger LCR 327. One ounce over a pound. empty. Works great. For about $500. Stout, sharp recoil with 327 Federal Mag, firm with H&R Mag, otherwise a kittycat.
S&W is definitely missing the boat on that cartridge.

And now it's not there. Two Ruger DAs, four Ruger SAs and 4 Henry rifles. no S&W.

In 2009, a good friend traded his S&W 632-1 with 20 rounds through it, to me for my Ruger Charger with 50 rounds through it. The trade included a set of .327 Federal dies, brass and cast lead bullets.
I know I got the better part of the deal, but he really wanted the Charger and he was happy with the trade.
Its a noisy little rascal, but a hoot to shoot.
