Default S&W 29-2, I'm feeling Lucky...

Found me a Dirty Harry gun today. S&W 29-2, S#N750432. Nice but not perfect, it does have a bit of holster wear. But OMG, it is the smoothest revolver I've owned. DA/SA both are smooth and the SA is extremely light. Never had smooth grips on a S&W before - haven't made my mind up yet about them. Will probably get a set of targets for it. Appropriately enough, I bought it from a LEO.

Earl

It also came with these grips - anyone know who makes them?

I don't have sweaty hands and much prefer the smooth targets on magnums.

It's a late SN gun for a 6.5" barrel?

The stocks remind me of Herrett's Jordan Troopers, with fingergrooves?

Can I use more question marks??

That’s got to be a 6” model. My dash one looks like it only stainless.

Yes, it's a 6 inch. I don't know the exact date for that production but I figure 1980 or 81. They went to 6" in 1979 I think.

How sweet that is... \if you have any slightest problem with the grips I pay you for them. They are absolutely lovely on that gun.

Thanks Oysterer. I will probably keep the smooth stocks, just might get some checkered S&W targets too. Earl
