Default 64-3 from GA prison system

One of our local gun shops seems to have very good connections within the industry. The presidents of Ruger and Hornady have both been to visit and stay for three days recently.

When I dropped by the other day they had shelf full of model 64s. Some used, some abused and some in between. All had an electro-pencil number engraved on them and new, poorly fitting, replacement grips. The salesman told me they came from the Georgia Prison System.

I looked over several a selected this beauty with a balance of wear and engraving. For $269, I couldn't pass it up. Model 64-3 with serial number ACZ6323. She's a shooter to boot Target at 10 yards - off hand).
