Did you get the original factory box? If so, post a picture of the end label. The 686 Practical Champion is an export only Smith, so we don't get to see these very often in the States.

KUDOS TO YOU, YET AGAIN KC ! ! !
WHENEVER I SPOT A POST OF YOURS, I MAKE A POINT OF STOPPING TO READ IT. INVARIABLY, I LEARN SOMETHING NEW. THIS POST IS NO EXCEPTION......
I AM NOT AN "EXPERT" OR A COLLECTOR, BUT I HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A MINUTE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN, NOR EVEN HEARD OF THIS PARTICULAR REVOLVER BEFORE......
NOW, THANKS TO THE Kernel, I UNDERSTAND WHY......

Very nice. I've added photos of its American cousin a Model 686-3 with the silhouette front sight. I looked long and hard for it, and finally found one as you see it - set up with a Leupold 2x scope and Hogue grips. Mine is very accurate - from the bench, it's no trick to shoot cloverleaf groups at 25 yards with it. It's also a good hunting gun as well.
Congratulations on a fine acquisition
.
Regards,
Dave

Unfortunately no. Here in Europe people don't tend to keep the boxes and papers. A real pity.
The practical Champion and all other similar models (target champion, the president, the international, practical champion, etc) were made for the European market and imported by Germany.

Leupold scope, mounts and rings. The previous owner went first class on this one.

Those are Nill grips, very popular here in Europe.
The other S&Ws are an unshot 67-1, 64-3, 625-3 and another CS1.
