Shout out for Smith customer service
Just thought I would post some positive results with Smith customer service. Recent purchased a performance center 627 that had some pretty severe chatter marks in the rifling and a cosmetic issue on the frame. It leaded excessively. Granted it should not of gotten past quality control but **** happens. I sent it back on their dime and it was back to me in less than 3 weeks with a new chatter free barrel and the cosmetic issue repaired. I can’t ask for much better service . Over the years I have sent several back for warranty issues and they have all been addressed to my satisfaction. I read a lot negative things about customer service but all my experiences have been positive.

I've sent back 2 and both were fully positive experiences. No muss, no fuss and service with a smile.

A few months ago I bought a new Mod. 29-10. The factory blue finish was horrible. Just ridiculous. Both sides of the barrel had grey sweeping buffer like marks all over the place. They would not wipe off. They were IN the bluing. On the front of the cylinder there was three bare metal BB size spots. The trigger and the hammer and the lock up were all great. Very tight fit. Well built really. But I just couldn't keep it with that finish. To their credit Smith & Wesson customer support were great. Nice people. I sent the gun back to them. They completely refinished it and got it back to me in just over three weeks. The bluing looks fantastic. Way better than factory job. Close to the look of my old S&W's I bought new in the 80's. Customer support took a very dissapointed customer and made me totally satisfied. But seriously - the factory needs to get their act together. Theres no way that gun was inspected before they shipped it out. No way. If it WAS inspected and passed - in that condition then Smith & Wesson should be embarrassed.

Nothing better than a company standing behind their products.
Thanks for the positive post.

That’s the problem with buying off the internet sight unseen. I do it but it’s a roll of dice. I only do it because their customer service has been so good.
