Default Blast marks on the side of the cylinder on new N frames

Has anyone found a solution for the blast marks on the cylinder on the new N frames? I was looking for a longer screw to fill the hole in the frame above the cylinder thinking it might solve or reduce the blast marks but couldn't find a screw like the one S&W uses. I sent it back to S&W all they said was it was in spec. If my model 27 was stainless it wouldn't be an issue but I hate to hurt the beautiful bluing on my 27. I can't believe S&W hasn't just lengthen the screw or made it a blind hole.
