How can I purchase exact same rubber grips that the current 629 .44 mag Classic has?

I just purchased a 1999 SW 629 Mountain Gun .44 mag round butt and would like to get the exact same rubber grips that are on the current line of SW 629 Classic pistols. I was told they are Hogue Tamer grips. However, the grips you can order from Smith and Weeson's accessories website are not the same as the grips on the actual new guns being sold.

How can I purchase the exact same rubber grips that the current 629 .44 mag Classic has?

Welcome! I would call S & W customer service and see if the grips you desire are sold separate from the gun.

Thanks. I actually did and the person who replied sent me the link to the grips that don't look at all similar.

When I sent the reply email with pics they never returned my email.

Does anyone know the brand and model of rubber grips that come factory on the S&W 629 Classic?

I found them on ebay but they don't say brand or model.

Authentic S&W

Out of Curiosity, I see you ordered the Authentic S&W
Synthetic Material Grips (New Style) off Ebay.

How do like them? Are they the Real Deal? How is the Quality?
Fit? Are they all that you thought they would be?

Is there any hint as to who made them?

I too have been interested in that S&W Grip and have looked at
them on Local Gun Shop's S&W Revolvers.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Appear to be the real deal. I think made by Altamont and not Hogue as earlier thought.

They don't seem to negate recoil any better than the old grips but they do move my hand up the grip more. With the old grips it seemed that I got bit by the back of the trigger guard but that didn't happen at all with the new grips.

Seem to be well made and I am very happy with them.

POC

I guess I didn't convey what I was looking for in Information on
how to get the New Style S&W Synthetic Revolver Grip.

Thank you .460 Magnum I think you understood what I needed.
That Link is excellent. Thank you.

As you can see, for all my Serious Shooting, only Rubber/Synthetic Grips will do.
I never liked the Wood Grip, they don't offer the Control I like. That's just me.

My S&W 4"Bbl 617-1 22lr below.

No problem!! I was on E-bay and saw them, so figured I would paste the link as I saw this thread on here

This thread made me want to look for a set for my RB 629 Mtn Gun. I found a set on Ebay for $26 shipped.

My M617 .22 came with these Hogue grips and I like them alot. They're sort of slim and the finger grooves are very faint unlike many grips where they're just too pronounced.

The new grips are nice you can get a higher hold on the gun..
