Default S&W 27-3

I mentioned before that I went to the LGS in order to buy a model 27-3 and ended up buying a 29-2 P&R.

Oh well, a few weeks later I went back and bought a 27 anyway. From the original four he had, only two were left, he is pricing them to move. Paid $ 600.- for this very nice condition 6’ with a patridge front sight.

Then I headed straight for the 25 m indoor range

Now I’m sitting on my couch smiling and fondling with my $ 1500 investment

Very nice. I noticed on the target pics only five holes in the paper. I didn’t know the 27-3 was a five shooter, lol.

Well I used to shoot full cylinders but two things happened : a lot of competition and military shooting with semi autos (Swiss Luger, Sig P49) is in series of five shots; and I was bored of either having or shooting 2 rounds in boxes of 50.

I still shoot six rounds when I use loose bulk ammo.

I've always said that when shooting boxes of 50, five is an even number!

That was $1500 well spent. Very nice!

Very nice. It's funny. I shoot 5 or 10 round groups all the time because it divides evenly into the number of rounds I reload.
