I’m looking at s&w m34 no dash kit gun flat latch in 22 lr. I researched into it and found it’s real from the factory. Interesting revolver. My problem is the price tag varies between $900 to $1,500. What’s going on with the gun market? I realized something was up when my online dealers had colt and s&w ( k 22 style) 22 cal handguns priced through the roof decades ago.
The lowest k22 I see a non looker but a shooter was $795 recently.

I thought my crystal ball on prices was doing ok till now. If we’re seeing k framed 22 priced like this were will the discontinued and classic revolvers be priced at, the larger N frames?

Another reason to buy now.

I looked at a 34-2 4" round butt yesterday with box and goodies for $695. It sold while I was still in the shop. Probably about 98-99% condition.I passed because I prefer the older ones.

If you see a Model 34 in nice condition and the price is even remotely reasonable, you’d better not put it down and walk away. ;)

You're right about that, can't buy them all though.(sure would like to);)

If you remember the panic buys on AR's when President Obama was elected they went to $1500 and stayed then dropped back to less than a third a few years ago. There should always be a market for quality made stuff. Having said that I believe prices are cyclical and the market always adjusts.

If the real price for a K frame 357 settles out at $1500 or so then shooters will eventually move to other examples. For quite a while Colt had the only option for AR's in 5.56. When they didn't they fell hard. Companies adjust or fail.
