Default picked up a nice 544 and a 625

local gun shop got an estate sale, was able to replace a model of 1988, i sold years ago and never should have. Also a 544, with the presentation case. N frames with five inch barrels not much better!

Yes, pics! Is the 544 chambered for the 44-40?

Sorry, have been off the board for awhile, yes it is chambered in 44-40, hard to find ammo for it right now, have not shot it yet.

I bought a 544 7-8 years ago. Just something cool about having the only gun that S&W chambers in 44-40. Nice find!
Wow, the 544 is already listed in the classifieds....

I ran into a 544 chambered in 44/40 at an LGS yesterday! Unfired, presentation case, all the papers and cleaning kit and the original box it was shipped in for $1500.00. May go back today and try an make a deal! Don’t know what it’s worth really.

It’s unfired………I also got ammo in the trade! I’m not sure if I’m going to shoot it. I’ll try to post some better pictures as I was in a hurry this morning!
