Good morning, all. Can someone please tell me the correct grips for a 6-inch square butt 657-2 with a BHB serial that was purchased in ~1991-92? Would they be the washer-less target grips with speedloader cutout or were they using Hogue rubber yet?
This is the standard model 657, not the Hunter.

If it's full lug 657-2 it probably came with sq butt combats.

I'm no expert, I gonna guess speed loaders cut out targets. In SCSW it said it came with checkered Goncalo Alves stocks with SW madallions. Engineering change said Hogue started with -3s. Yes the hunter -2 had Hogue as I have one of those. Hopefully someone has one and can post pics.

This may be what you want. 29-3, N square butt. Earlier ones did not have the speed loader cut out. Bob

I do have some "footballs" but after doing some research I think by '92 they had gone to the speed loader relief cut.
