I just got a new mount in today that I had a hard time finding information on. Figured I’d share some info here in case anyone was interested. It fits any S&W revolver factory tapped for a scope but can only mount optics that have the traditional RMR footprint.

The fit and finish is superb, typical for Trijicon, but you definitely pay a premium for it. The mounting screws are flathead which is unusual for them but at home for a S&W. It comes with a sealing plate and 2 hex screws for the mount-to-sight interface.

I got it for my TRR8 and I have to say it feels odd buying a mount for a revolver I partially purchased because it had a rail. However the original setup I had put the dot too high over bore for me and I’m hoping this is an improvement. I’m still trying to decide if I should pull the SRO off my Ruger for it or get another dedicated RMR. I’ll post some follow up pics when decided.

* If I keep this mount I’ll need to do something with those silver inserts.

I have one of those as well under a Trijicon RMR, along with a Raptor Engineering and an Allchin mount. Of the lot, I like the Allchin the least due to the easily lost locating pins. But it is handy if you can't decide which reddot to use, given it's multiple locating pin options.
