Anyone ever have performance center gunsmithing done? Specifically, a trigger job?

I was on the range today with my Performance Center 327 R8. Shot a like a dream, but the guy next to me had a 627 revolver with an amazingly smooth trigger--much nicer than mine.

He had his done by a local gunsmith. I am very tempted to do the same, but prefer to keep my warranty.

Does the Performance Center do excellent work? They have a Combat Revolver package, a Master Revolver package and an Outdoor package. Trigger testimonials with these packages please?

Actually I would suggest shooting your PC 327 a bunch before your have her worked on. S&W triggers are famous for improving with use.

Back draw, with a local gun smith (unless they have a great track record) you are playing poker with the results being, safe & good / unsafe and screwed. JMHO k

I would also give it time. Maybe do a lot of dry fire.

The Gander Mountain near me (Kenosha WI) is an S&W warranty center. Maybe look around your area to see if you can find one.

They have done great work on all of my triggers. I always use the Smith gunsmiths but i am in Hartford and only a 30 minute drive up the highway.

I wouldn't rely on the PC to give accurate directions to the men's room. I have seen too much garbage come out of it.

Ask him who did his trigger job. Having a professional tigger job done does NOT void a gun's warranty as long as the gunsmith is competent.

I have had the Master Action work done on my M19 and 629. They do excellent work, very smooth, but not as light as some smiths make them with light springs, etc. I like the work and the express package saves loads of time. Go for it, the price is right also.
