These guns are kinda a novelty. The Ammo is too pricey to enjoy an afternoon of plinking, the guns are now soo expensive that I'd hate to take one out and shoot it all day. A 617 is a much better buy. You can still get a pre-lock at a reasonable price, the 647 was never made w/o the IL. They do still have some 647's on Gunbroker if you're dead set on getting one, whatever you chose good luck to ya!
