I didn't know those existed. That is one serious-looking revolver. Congratulations. A beauty!

Ccoker;
I really like the combination of your NOS Model 29 Performance Center revolver, the Aimpoint Micro (I presume) with the center mounted base. It should be an excellent performer.

I have one somewhat similar (well, they ARE both S&W's ):

And, of course, they need a good S&W knife to "side" the revolver:

Be sure and let us know how yours shoots.

ccoker,
i got on these beauties too. I believe its a 29-8. Saw it on the bottom shelf of a local gun store, wearing a price tag some 40 dollars less than a new production 629. Go figure!
I love the orange front sight, outdoors its a neon beacon. The trigger is good, and then there's the included weaver base and the additional gold bead sight, the gun rug. Yes the grips are a little sharp in the hand with heavy loads, but what a great buy.

Yeah i just checked its a pc 29-8 American Pride.

As far as the 4 screw deal, i believe this same frame, with a standard half lug 6.5 and gold logo, was used the following year to make the 50th Anniversary 29-10.

by the way the orange front sight is not a solid piece of plastic. It is a Fluorescent Fiber Optic made by Easyhit.com I asked them to also make it in green, but no luck.
