66-2 trade or sale value
I have a very nice 66-2 with combats that I am thinking of making a trade with and wanted to make sure I have the right value for it. From what I know, it was made in 1988, serial number starts with AZJ5_ _. No box or paperwork since I bought it used from a dealer that used to buy estates or collections back in the early nineties. It was like new then and still is. I never really shot it much but it does have a very smooth trigger. I’ve read that the grips are desirable and the dash and year are too. Can anyone give me a range to sell outright or to use towards a trade? I’ve kept it all these years but don’t really shoot revolvers much and I think it’s time to move it on to someone who would enjoy it.

Where I shop I'd expect to see it priced $800-$1000. The combats are worth $250 or so by themselves. Good luck.

I just sold a 66-2 with correct box $750 at gun show. Might have been able to get little more but I took the cash deal and moved on.

That’s a fair price without the combats.

Realistically, I'd say around $800, but a buyer who really wants an excellent condition shooter might go as much as $1000.

I recently saw a 66-2 in the same apparent condition, at an LGS, but it was wearing target stocks for $699.99. With the combat stocks I'm thinking $800 to $900 dollars is reasonable as well.
