Go on gun broker. Find one very similar to yours. See what other people are paying for similar items. There’s your answer.

$850 ish is my guess.

I recently carried a 586 no dash 4" perfect condition into an Idaho show. the table sharks did not show any honorable traits, only as wannabe thieves. I got my price of 7 clams from an FFL dealer on the floor. Reason, the gun just did not shoot for me. some do. Some do not. I don't go to shows no more. Some day the feds will strike; but not on me.

As stated, $800-$850 is about right these days. The dash 4's were some of the best, if not the best, guns built by S&W.

Around $800. Grips will take it up or down depending on what it has. I found at the local shows here in central Texas, almost ANY pre lock S&W will bring $700 to $800, grips will add or subtract from that.

It is bad for the seller, but I see prices dropping. A year back I was seeing a $1000 for a 686.

Deduct $50 for every dash after 1 :-)

Seriously, unless a "major" undesireable change happened I do not pay much attention to dashed model values. YMMV
