Default 63-3 Snub

Two weekends ago. I had time, to browse some area gun shops. I found this little beauty. Also, here is one bonus photo. With two, 22 caliber friends. Models 48-4 and 18-3.

Nice, I don't think I've seen one of those, not one for sale anyway or I'd have one. I have a 4 inch and a 5 inch but need the 3 and a 2. Enjoy it.

Thank you, Sir. It was the first one I had seen at any brig and mortar, in 13 years. I have lived on both coasts of the country and traveled to most states. On that same day I also saw a 63-4 5" but couldn't fund it after buying the 2". Plus, here in Connecticut you can only buy 3 handguns in a 30 period, and I had already hit the limit.

Congratulations!

One of my daughters "borrowed" (presumably permanently) my longer-barreled Model 63, but I have no intention of loaning this one out. This was almost "the one that got away" in that I didn't buy it when I first saw it, as I thought the price was too high. I regretted it, but a few weeks later I learned an acquaintance of mine had acquired the gun, and he agreed to part with it for a modest profit.

Every time I shoot it it brings a smile to my face.

I am one of the few and proud owners of a 2” 63-3. This is the only one I’ve ever seen in the wild. Sure fun to shoot.

Congrats on a nifty find.

I’ve never seen one in the wild but passed on a snub 651 for cheap many years ago. Uggh.

Early on, when I first started attending gun shows. I let my enthusiasm for firearms, get the best of me. Not knowing the significands, I passed on a pre-lock model 66 F comp for $625, because I wanted to see what else was available at the show. Of course, it was gone when I returned. On a positive note. Several years later I did find a 651-1 2" so now I have both snubs.

Big 22 fan here. Always on the lookout for a 63 snub. I've had this little 317 for over a decade - neat little revolver and lots of fun to shoot.

I am not a big J-frame guy, but I think I would have picked that up if I had seen it.

I have a matched set 22lr and 22mag, the 351c was a lucky find and makes a dandy understudy for the 340sc.

LOL...Enabler. It's funny that you say that, because the thought had crossed my mind on the 63-4 5". Then a couple of guns away, I spied a bright stainless Ruger Vaquero, in 357 Mag, with 3.75" barrel, Talo edition. It is on Layaway.
