Default Mountain Gun weight?

Looking to buy a Mountain Gun in 45 Colt. Anyone know the weight? Also looking at the New Vaquero Bisley, great guns, but they are heavy at 40 oz........Thanks! Steve T

The Mountain Guns are among my favorite post 70's Smith & Wesson revolvers. My favorite and the one I have is the 1989 Smith & Wesson Mountain Revolver in .44 magnum. I believe a Mountain Gun in .45 Colt will run about 39 ounces.

Mine weighed 37 oz on kitchen scale wearing Hogue Tamers (S&W 500 Hogues).

FWIW,

Paul

I have a few MGs in 44 mag and 45 Colt. I believe the 45 weighs about 38 ounces.
