MODEL 65 WITH GRIPS FROM THAILAND
I like to prewar service grip looks. I found these on Ebay. I installed on a model 65 shipped in 1986.

I’ve got two or three sets of the Thai grips. Good stuff at a reasonable price.

I've probably shown these on here waaaay to many times, but I've been very happy with the pair of smooth combat style Thai grips in a very dark rosewood or perhaps ebony. They differ from the S&W grips in that they completely enclose the backstrap, a feature I like. The one problem I had was that they probably hadn't been dried enough, and shrank away from the grip frame. For now they have some cardboard shims, but I'll probably glass bed them when I get a round tuit.

I have one set of Thailand grips and they are combat grips for my GP100. I was really surprised about how well they fit the revolver.

Is there a particular entity from which to order grips from Thailand that has proven to be of good quality?
I am looking for a set of Combat style grips for a 686.

OP, those look good on your 65.
I have a few sets of Thai grips. My examples are all nice looking and fit well.

I was surprised when shipping was listed at $22.00. Previous grips had been $10.
When I got tracking it showed DHL. I ordered on Sunday and received grips on Thursday.

Yours look good. I tried the ones on Amazon but the two sets I received did not have the screw hole or nut centered in the Diamond so I sent them back. The wood and fit were fine but my OCD kicked in and it would have nagged at me.
I ordered a set from Midway and while the Diamond was centered these were finished more like the ones S&W uses at present, a more matte finish.
