Talking New x frame stocks…double handed…

While perusing ePay earlier today I ran across these new style stocks I hadn’t seen before. Seller claims they “help to manage recoil, and help to steady up”.

After I got done rolling on the floor laughing, I thought I’d see if anyone here has experience with these? Your thoughts?

That's not going to help with recoil at all, in fact it's going to make the gun less controllable by encouraging an improper grip.

Frankly, I think that people really need to actually man up by being man enough to admit; "Okay, this gun has way too much recoil for me, it isn't fun to shoot, so to heck with it. I'm going to flip this expensive hand cannon in exchange for something more wieldly."

There's no shame in admitting that you're not Scott from Kentucky Ballistics, but there's plenty of shame in being the guy at the range trying to shoot a .500 S&W with some goofy-looking grip on it, and so much more for the guy with a permanent scar on his forehead because he insisted on shooting a handgun with more recoil than he could manage.

Heck, if you wanna rise to the challenge and master shooting a hard-kicking revolver, then hit the gym and get jacked until you've got a pair of guns that can tame that wild beast like Scott.

I’ve seen those and had the same reaction. Maybe sell them in neon colors for those that think they’ll do anything.

I saw those on the InterNet a few days ago. They look so ridiculous that I thought it was a joke, sort of like an April Fools Day gag! Maybe that was the day I saw it!

I also thought that it was parody when I saw it.

Got to give the craftsman a thumbs up for his attempt to tame a Beast.
Have not been able to find the "patent pending" info on those grips. Always interesting to read what's patentable about mods to items that are in common use.

Well now, since the X-frame shares the same grip/stock footprint with the K/L-frames, it would seem like a great idea to pick up a set of these bad boys for my M10 snubbie.

They look like they came off one of those two man saws the lumber jacks use.

That’s funny and looks like a photoshop to me.

The folks who talk (excessively) about the recoil of the 460/500, have they got much experience with one? My 460XVR is more enjoyable to shoot than most .44 Magnums I’ve encountered in 35 years of shooting handguns.

Everybody that shoots mine asks for another shot after their first.

No thanks. Haha.

I've been shooting S&W 500 Mags for 21 yrs now.

My guns have the original factory grips and they work for me.

A typical range day means 3 cylinder fulls of medium heavy loads and twice that of nice, fun Trail Boss powder rounds. While they're tame partially due to the revolers 72oz weight, they're about twice the energy of a 45ACP +P round. Don

I was expecting two grips side by side, like small bicycle handle bars.

That would make more sense than that abomination. Grip a foot below the bore is just going to give the gun better leverage and pivot even more.
