Looking at a 3" Model 10-10 w/ lanyard. Box marked model 101, special ord. 1354. Anyone have any idea who the contract was for?

Back in the early 1990's I bought a new in the box heavy barrel 3" round butt Model 10 that had a lanyard ring on the butt. It was a round ring rather than the Victory Model type.

I was told at the time it was an overrun from a Hong Kong Police contract. The usual Hong Kong Police guns you see had 4" standard contour barrels, or "pencil barrels" for those who are annoyed by that term and were stamped R.H.K.P. on the back straps. I suppose an answer from the SWCA would be appropriate to positively identify what the special order codes mean but I would not be surprised to find out it was another R(oyal)HKP over run.
