Default 629-6 Carry Comp

Picked this up last week from my LGS as I'm in a 3" comp state of mind. I did review the book page 455 and found that the product code 170279 was listed as a Carry Comp III in 2006 for Lew Horton. I did some research and most of what those I found came with different grips and an aluminum case. I found a S&W flyer that looks just like mine though it states it comes in an aluminum case. Mine came with some boot grips and the gray plastic case. My question is...do all product codes 170279 belong to Lew Horton or does the first run in 2006 only apply to Lew Horton? The fired casing that came with mine is 2009. I have not seen another serial number prefix CMY as of yet. Paid $1100 by the way...not too bad?

Default Nice

Considering one just sold for $1726 plus $40 shipping plus tax to where it was sold to you did awesome

Love the rear fixed sight

Would be a great fly fishing or backwoods gun
Comp will help with follow up shots too

Nice score!

Congrats. That would be a really nice hot rod to have. More than likely only the first run of that gun came with the aluminum case, sold well enough to make more so the Performance Center pumped a few more out, thus the grey case. They one should be a hoot with 44 specials.

Wow, I figured it was a good number but wasn't sure seeing how it has the lock...thanks for the info. It's funny that I do prefer the pre-lock aesthetics but I must say some of my favorite to shoot do have the lock...we'll see where this one falls.

I too figured that S&W pumped a few more out a couple years later seeing how it is a desirable configuration. Need to look for some different grips now...something more to hold on to!
