That is some fabulous workmanship there! I like the burl wood on the round butt ones, especially. Yes, must see.

I almost didn't open this thread, because as an official contrarian, I don't like anyone telling me I "must see" anything. But I'm glad I did, beautiful grips.

Curt does a fine job. Here is a sample of his Roper-style stocks on a 27-2 he did for me.

I think it turned out AWESOME! I see he still has one of the best woodpiles in the industry!

I had Curt send me pictures of the grips as he was making them.

I've enjoyed (and benefited from) Curt's fine craftsmanship before. Exceptional restoration work for me. But, I've never had him CREATE anything. I often thought of a set of "K" frame diamond COKES.
Hmmmmm, I still have some quarter-sawn Black Walnut in the barn. Maybe??

I probably have 6 or 7 Curt Harlow / Harlow-Culina grips. I finally noticed the one thing these grips were missing.
The Artist Signature - Which Curt kindly provided.

Just realized, I did not include images.
So, a little background. These were sent to me as a gift. I was, and still am, absolutely floored when I opened the box. Curt is know for his big stocks, checkered with ribbons and etc. These are simple, unadorned Magnas, and are on my newest ACP Target Model of 1950.
Considering he did not have my revolver or even a tracing, the fit is excellent.
I am proud to own these. Curt even signed and dated them for me.
Kevin

Curt does great work and is great to work with. Here are a couple of pairs of black washer smooth targets on a couple of "S" prefix Model 28s that he did the coke conversion on. They are purty!

CobiaS&W, unfortunately, I was sleep deprived when I posted my comment. I absolutely know that Curt does a FANTASTIC job of grip checkering! I was thinking of Mr. Culina. I’m not sure about now, but I believe he used to not do grip checkering. But, he like Mr. Harlow, does a FANTASTIC job of making grips!
